Gaye Nell Heck Partner

Overview

Gaye Nell Heck represents and counsels technology companies in bankruptcy, insolvency, liquidation and reorganization negotiations and litigation throughout the world.  Her practice delivers value driven results, including achieving resolutions and settlements, protecting assets and enforcing rights as a shield in preference and fraudulent proceedings, obtaining contract assumption or payment on obligations, out-of-court workouts, representing clients’ interests on creditors’ committees and providing overall guidance throughout the process of reorganization. She has more than 24 years of experience in commercial and bankruptcy litigation, having active debtor-creditor rights practices in California and Georgia prior to joining Bialson Bergen & Schwab.

Ms. Heck has lectured during her career under the auspices of the State Bar of California’s Continuing Education Program and the Santa Clara Bar Association

Professional Affiliations

Ms. Heck is a member of the State Bar Association of California and the State Bar Association of Georgia. She is also a member of the Palo Alto Bar Association and has served as chair of the Women Lawyers Committee.

Civic/Charitable

Ms. Heck has served on the Board of Directors of several charitable organizations, including Los Altos Children’s Center Preschool (2008-2011), Los Altos/Mountain View Pony Baseball (2006-2012), and Senior New Ways, a senior services provider (2005-2008).   She is currently serving as Co-President of the Los Altos High School Instrumental Music Boosters (2012-present), and as a member of the Los Altos United Methodist Church Endowment Committee, overseeing a multi-million dollar endowment fund (2012-present).
